Product Description

Our Blue Cheese Powder can make so much more than simply a quick blue cheese dressing. Known for its sharp and somewhat salty taste, this powder works well as a light coating on raw vegetables, to flavor risotto, or even sprinkle on popcorn.

Use as a coating on toasted French bread or as a topping for baked potatoes. Or, rehydrate Blue Cheese Powder with warm water and add to sour cream or Miracle Whip to use as a dip for buffalo chicken wings.

Mix Blue Cheese Powder with Parmesan Cheese as a spread for hamburgers. Use as a rub for lamb before cooking.

Instant Blue Cheese Dressing: add 3 oz (more or less) to 1/2 cup Miracle Whip & 1/2 cup sour cream, mix in some sugar and vinegar to taste. Add cottage cheese to make the lumps.

Blue Cheese (pasteurized milk, salt, cheese culture, enzymes).*
*Contains less than 2% silicon dioxide as an anti-caking agent and less than 2% Disodium Phosphate as a processing aid.

  6. Great Home Made Blue Cheese

This powder makes the best blue cheese salad dressing as well as a dip. Last weekend my spouse mixed the powder with mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, bits of real blue cheese and freshly ground black pepper to make the best salad dressing ever. I have always been a ranch and thousand island devotee, but now I have a new favorite and it is so easy to make.

  7. Vaguely Blue Cheese-ish

I'm an American living in Sri Lanka, and so I stock up on a lot of GASC powders and mixes because I simply can't find the stuff here.

I was disappointed in the Blue Cheese powder. Firstly, it did taste like Blue Cheese, but only dimly so. Second, it takes a lot of the powder to make one batch; my 3.5 oz jar was used up after making one batch (see the instructions), according to the usage suggestion. It also requires both sour cream and cottage cheese, neither of which are available in Sri Lanka (I coulda used the Sour Cream powder, but that's another review).

That's the reason why I only bought one of the smallest size: I wasn't sure if I'd be able to get good tasting Blue Cheese here. I tried it, it didn't work for me.
