What is Worcestershire Sauce and Powder?While proportions vary, Worcestershire sauce's key ingredient is tamarind soaked in molasses. Garlic in vinegar, chilies, cloves, shallots, and sugar all settle together and mellow over two years with periodic stirrings. The mixture is sifted of solids, bottled to make the sauce, and then dried to make Worcestershire powder.
Usage:Make your own worcestershire sauce. Use 1 part Worcestershire Sauce Powder to 1.5 parts water - by weight.
Ingredients:Worcestershire sauce (distilled vinegar, molasses, corn syrup, salt, caramel color, garlic powder, sugar, spices, tamarind, natural flavor and sulfiting agents), maltodextrin, and silicon dioxide.

I love using this in a dry rub or in a shake on spice blend, but once the jar has been opened, the product clumps badly. I don't like that.

I was really excited to try this on steaks and burgers. It was a great way to add flavor yet get a good sear.
I got one use out my bottle though.
I kept the bottle sealed in with all my other spices. But when I went to use the product again, the powder was very hard. It seemed to have easily absorbed moisture. I don't know how since it was only opened once before. I tried to break it up the best I could in by spice grinder. Unfortunately the powder contains sugars that begin to melt from the friction of the grinder blades. After breaking the powder down to the best I could before stopping up the grinder with gooey molasses, I covered with plastic before screwing the cap back on. But that did not prevent the powder from hardening again and becoming unusable the next time I wanted to use it. Not sure what I could do to prevent this from happening.

i loved it and it was what i have been looking for, i mix it with my black pepper, use it as a dry marinade, and mix it in with my hamburgers, etc. thanks again!

I bought this product to make my own Worcestershire Pepper. Just combine the two at a ratio you like and all done. Great on everything.

I love this stuff! It works great in Dry BarBQ rubs, Cajun seasoning, soups and stews. We love "Chex Mix", especially the worcestershire flavor in the mix. The problem comes-in when you try to add extra liquid W-sauce to the mix. It makes the mix soggy and very difficult to dry. By using the W-mix I can increase the flavor without making the mix soggy. GREAT STUFF! I've had no caking problems.
