  1. Why is it salty?

Posted by Tegan on 6th Jun 2017

Looking at the ingredients there's no reason why this product would be salty. It's ostensibly just vinegar and carbohydrates. What's going on? If it's actually based on sodium acetate then it isn't acetic acid and it isn't vinegar.

  2. A "must have"

a must have for homemade potato chips.. try the malt vinegar powder on french fries

  3. Vinegar Powder - the best

Posted by Nick on 19th Sep 2013

The vinegar powder has solved a lot of problems for me. People say it is to salty, but I don't use a lot of regular salt in my recipes and this satisfies that taste. Thanks to those who said they use it on popcorn and french fries. I forgot about those ideas. We don't use hardly any salt at all and this will be great. Will have it on hand all the time.

  4. Tangy, but salty

Posted by Gina Anderson on 29th Jun 2012

I should have paid closer attention to the ingredients. I was misled by the name "Vinegar POWDER", and thought this would be a very tangy powder substitute to liquid vinegar. It does have a nice flavor, but is was too salty for me. In fact, to get the amount of tang that I would prefer, I would not ever be able to tolerate the saltiness. Perhaps I will be able to use it on popcorn or some other thing down the road.

  5. Too soon.....

Posted by macktheknife on 22nd Jun 2012

I have only had the product a week. Food testing is very limited to be fair to the product. I do wish it was a little more tangy.

  6. All that I hoped it would be!

Posted by Joanne from Jax on 29th May 2012

We are very happy with the vinegar powder. My grandchildren love vinegar on their popcorn but it was always soggy :o( Using the powder solved the problem. We are discovering many other food to put it on; vegetables, french fries etc. Great stuff!
