Another recipe that this bean soup complements is when it is cooked with a ham hock. If you’re health-conscious you’re in luck, this bean soup does not contain any MSG, making this 13 Bean Soup Medley a healthy addition to your next recipe!
Usage
Wash 1 lb beans, place in pot cover with water, add 2 tbsp salt, soak overnight. Drain add 2 qts water, 2 ham hocks, boil add 1 large onion, 16 oz tomatoes, 1 tsp Chili Powder, Lemon Juice Powder or squeezed lemon and Black Pepper to taste. Simmer 3 Hours. Yields 4 Qts.Ingredients
