A recipe for making homemade play dough:
- Combine 2 cups flour with 1 cup salt, 2 teaspoons Alum Powder, 2 cups water and 2 Tablespoons oil.
- Cook on medium heat stirring constantly till firm balls of dough form.
- Knead until cooled.
- Add food coloring or find natural colors to add such as Annatto Seed's for reds and yellows.
Usage: For grandmothers favorite pickle recipe or any other recipe that calls for Alum. One ounce per gallon of water, boil water and pour over cut pickles. Let stand overnight. Drain and RINSE then follow recipe for preparing pickles.
