Ground allspice is a highly aromatic dried berry named because its flavor resembles a combination of cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg. The whole berry is commonly used in pickling, meat broths and gravies. It is also referred to as Jamaican Pepper and is the fifth pepper found in five peppercorn blends.
Usage:Use in desserts, fruitcakes, pies, relishes and preserves.
