These handy 15 inch synthetic chub casings in holiday red are perfect for gift giving when filled with your favorite summer sausage or salami.  Our chub casings are tied at one end to make filling a breeze.  These useful casings come in 1.5 lb bags of 25 so you won’t run out when packaging your gourmet summer sausage.  This attractive red chub casing will keep your meat delicious and shelf stable when properly processed.  Meat and cheese gift baskets will have an added festive touch when our red chub casings are used for your mouth-watering meats such as salami or summer sausage.


Great for gift giving of sausage for the Holidays or anytime!Start with 25lbs. of lean beef, or you can use 5lbs. of pork with 20lbs. of deer. Grind meat through 3/8th plate. Add 1 quart of cold water to 12oz of 4570500119 Soy Protein Blend and then mix into meat. Mix cure into seasoning, then into 1 quart of cold water. Regrind meat through 1/8th plate. Stuff into fibrous casings that have been soaked in 90 to 100 degree water for 30 minutes. Hold over night in refrigerator. Cook at 180 degrees to internal temperature of 160 degrees.
