Usage:Soak in a glass of warm water for 5 minutes. Stir well. You will know mushrooms are properly soaked when they are supple to the touch. Twist them to make sure they are soft enough. While carefully holding stem with one hand, snip off the stem. Slice and cook.

I've gotten the Dried Porcini's before, and loved them so much, I thought I'd get a different mushroom this time. I will get the Porcini's again as well. The best part is that they are dried, so no time limit as to when you use them. I've frozen fresh mushrooms before, but they just don't work as well. But the BIG benefit is that you can use the mushroom (water) sauce into your recipe as well, for extra depth. When I make my Chicken Marsala, I dump in the entire bowl of mushroom water (from soaking them), and my husband thinks it takes the dish to a whole new level. I agree. They keep so well in your pantry, to use whenever you need them. So great to not have to buy fresh and hope to use them in a few days. I love having these on hand. Great buy!!!
