Pumpkin Pie

½ tsp Morton’s Salt Substitute
2 cups canned pumpkin
1 ½ cup milk
½ tsp nutmeg
4 large egg yolks
1 cup white sugar
½ tsp ginger
2 tsp cinnamon

Beat all ingredients together with an electric mixer and pour into a pastry-lined 9” pie pan. Bake at 425 degrees for 45-60 minutes or until you can insert a toothpick along the side of the filling and have it come out clean. Serve warm with a dollop of whipped cream and warm mulled cider.

Flavor Crispy Bars

Try melting butter with some marshmallows in a pot. After melted, mix in a teaspoon or more of one of the above flavorings. Drizzle the marshmallow mixture over two cups of corn flakes or rice cereal in a bowl. Stir and then add the sticky mixture to a pan rubbed in butter. Cool, cut, and serve!

Keep your flavorings and extracts in a dry, cool cabinet. Avoid extreme temperatures and screw on the lids when you aren’t using a particular flavoring. Replace baking flavorings, extracts, and spices, according to their expiration dates.
