I have been using charcoal seasoning for many years, then super markets stop selling it. Ordered through the Durkee company until they discontinued it. Found it through The Great American Company several years ago. Use it on all meats and fish products. I get raves on my roasted chicken, using this seasoning. Puts great flavoring on meats and fish.

My wife's grandfather used to put charcoal seasoning on her burgers. We can't find the same brand anywhere but she loves this stuff. Says it's just like she remembers!

I love this product because I love the charcoal flavor of a good steak. This was sold by DURKEE years and years ago. It was taken off the market for years but I bought many bottles before hand. I finally saw it again at Americanspice and bought 10 25oz Jars. After about 5 years later I tried to buy more and Americanspice was out. I gave my next to my last jar to my friend in fla. who could not find this product. To my surprise Americanspice got it again and I just bought more and more.

for years i have searched for a replacement for durkee charcoal spice i used years ago and now i have found it. so thrilled, it is perfect.

The charcoal seasoning is very good when used on steaks when I cook them in a convection oven. The secret is to use a lot of the seasoning. Cover both sides with charcoal and when finished cooking, the food will look good and taste delicious. No spice can match a charcoal grill, but this does a pretty good job.

I use this charcoal seasoning on flank steak, put the steak in lemon juice, minced garlic and veg oil and marinate for 1 hour put charcoal seasoning on steak before grilling on hot grill basting with marinate every time you flip steak keep the steak black on the top, this stuffis great ordered 5 lbs last time also use on hamburgers and A 1 insead of ketchup try it you will like it

I remember when Durkee Spices sold this in the 80's at the grocery store, and I have to say that this charcoal seasoning is exactly what I remember. It has that salty charcoal flavor without tasting artificial. I put it on chicken, steak, pork chops......and everything comes out so delicious. I ordered the small size at first, but ended up reordering the chef size.....LOVE THIS STUFF

When I was younger, we always had charcoal seasoning on our steak; however, it was discontinued and I haven't seen it in nearly 20 years. Using the wonderful world of Google, I found it on your site. I gave it to my family for Christmas and they were PSYCHED that I found it. It is such a fantastic flavor!!!
