Here at the Great American Spice Company, “Fresher Spices and Better Prices” is more than a company slogan it lives at the very heart of our business. Delivering the highest quality customer service is what drives every employee from the boardroom to the warehouse since we opened for business over thirty years ago.

The Great American Spice Company’s journey started nearly 80 years ago when Lawrence and Mary Tippmann set down roots in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Over time, each member of our large family developed an appreciation of how to make more with less. This became one of our guiding principles centering on cooking great tasting meals using the highest quality spices and herbs and freshest ingredients.

The Great American Spice Company began as a “brick and mortar”, but evolved into a completely online business in 1999. What didn’t change was the commitment to our customers. Not a day goes by without one of us asking “How can we do this better?” Here are just a few of the reasons we stand head and shoulders above the rest.

  • A “state of the art” shipping area assures your order will reach you quickly and in perfect condition.
  • Our website is continually updated to make shopping as easy and stress-free as possible.
  • Tenacious searching worldwide throughout each growing season enables us to provide spices with richer color, texture and more vibrant aromas than what you’d normally find in a typical shop.
  • Our ability to locate those “hard to find spices and products” puts everything from favorite brand names to unique specialty shops conveniently in one place.

Even though you have rewarded our efforts by placing over 9000 orders last year alone, we are always striving to improve. From singular BBQ rubs to thoughtful gift sets make us your only stop in your culinary journey. Everyone here at The Great American Spice Company is dedicated to providing “Fresher Spices and Better Prices” not just today but every day.
