Soy protein improves moisture retention in sausage making, which results in less shrinkage in the smoker. According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, foods with at least 6.25 grams of soy protein per serving qualify for a new health-claim label that reads, “Diets low in saturated fat and cholesterol that include 25 g of soy protein per day may reduce the risk of heart disease.” Use soy protein concentrate flakes with other sausage making supplies for scrumptious sausage.
Usage:For a basic food additive or sausage making. For 25 lb of meat you add 1 lb of soy flakes that have been soaked in 3 lb of water.
