Mixed with water, Sour Cream Powder can be used in practically anything you can think of as a replacement for the refrigerated version. Create dips, sauces, potatoes, cakes, muffins, spreads, and casseroles - you name it- with sour cream powder!

Try this sour cream biscuit recipe:

1 cup lemon/lime flavored soda, 8 ounces sour cream, 4 cups flour, 1 tsp. baking soda

1 tsp. baking powder, and ½ tsp. salt. Preheat the oven to 400 F. Mix the wet ingredients and gradually add the dry ingredients. Roll the dough on a floured surface and cut with a biscuit cutter or glass rim. Bake 20 minutes.

For variations, you may want to add cheddar cheese powder, smoked black pepper, dill weed, or whole sweet basil.

Very nice and it can be used in many ways. Great for camping!

  2. Mixes up well

Sort of tastes like sour cream and would probably be fine added to something liked baked goods, but if you just mix it up plain to serve with chili or something, there's kind of a strange aftertaste that I find unpleasant. I tried mixing it with dip seasoning, not too successful.
