What is Worcestershire Sauce and Powder? While proportions vary, Worcestershire sauce's key ingredient is tamarind soaked in molasses. Anchovies layered in brine, garlic in vinegar, chilies, cloves, shallots, and sugar all settle together and mellow over two years with periodic stirrings. The mixture is sifted of solids, bottled to make the sauce, and then dried to make Worcestershire powder.
Usage:Make your own worcestershire sauce. Use one part powder to 2 parts water, to make a pourable sauce
Ingredients:Molasses, Vinegar, Corn Syrup, Salt, Caramel Color, Garlic, Sucrose, Spices, Tamarind, Natural Flavor. Sulfiting Agents, Maltodextrin.

A Secret Ingredient!

The Worcestershire powder really puts a bass note in a BBQ rub. I consider it my go-to secret ingredient. A little goes a long way - but it makes a really important impression in a classic BBQ rub.

We use worcestershire sauce in much of our cooking. We go through it so fast that I wanted an alternative that wouldn't take up a bunch of shelf space. Worcestershire powder was the answer. It works perfectly as a direct replacement for the liquid. Mixed it with beef broth, add a dash of pepper and you have a delicious au jus.

We use Worcestershire sauce in a lot of cooking, but when it comes to baked beans or ground meat, for example, too much liquid leads to soupy messes. This powder seasoning is perfect! So glad we took a chance and tried it out. This will be a repeat performer in our home.

The product is really close to L&P. Great for BBQ dry rubs and in brown gravy. Still experimenting.

We always mix Worcestershire sauce with charcoal seasoning to barbecue our steaks. When I ordered this last batch of charcoal seasoning I noticed the Worcestershire powder. We will never use Worcestershire sauce again. The combination charcoal seasoning and Worcestershire powder made the perfect steak rub! They pair perfectly with NY Strip Steak! Using the sauce we found it to be slightly salty, with the powder - PERFECTO! My husband and I love barbecuing for family and friends. They all love this new combination, too!

I use this powder for all kinds of meat. It is excellent on pork and of course beef. I prefer using this over the liquid variety but nice to know I can make this into liquid as well as use it as powder.
Try sprinkling the powder on your pork chops. YUM-O!
Excellent for roasts

I remember reading articles years ago that described a famous Prime Rib restaurant as using this powder to rub on their standing prime rib roasts before they put them in the oven. I'm going to be using this on all of my beef roasts as a rub before I roast them.
