What is Worcestershire Sauce and Powder?

Anchovies layered in brine, garlic in vinegar, chilies, cloves, shallots, and sugar all settle together and mellow over two years with periodic stirrings. The mixture is sifted of solids, bottled to make the sauce, and then dried to make Worcestershire powder.Usage:
Make your own worcestershire sauce. Use one part powder to 1.5 parts water.Ingredients:
Molasses, Vinegar, Corn Syrup, Salt, Caramel Color, Garlic, Sucrose, Spices, Tamarind, Natural Flavor. Sulfiting Agents, Maltodextrin.FDA Nutritional Information

Multi purpose powder
Posted by Marie in Texas
I use this powder for all kinds of meat. It is excellent on pork and of course beef. I prefer using this over the liquid variety but nice to know I can make this into liquid as well as use it as powder.
Try sprinkling the powder on your pork chops. YUM-O!

Excellent for roasts
Posted by Unknown
I remember reading articles years ago that described a famous Prime Rib restaurant as using this powder to rub on their standing prime rib roasts before they put them in the oven. I'm going to be using this on all of my beef roasts as a rub before I roast them.
