1 teaspoon powder for 1 lb. of meat to taste. Equal amount compared to liquid. For product mix, (spice blends, etc) 8 oz to 100 pounds of product.

    Add this to jerky seasoning to add that smoky flavor. Smoky flavor is not overpowering when used according to suggested use.

    I made a recipe for Bacon-Salt nuts and they were really salty so I ordered the individual items that made up the bacon salt, namely, the powdered hickory smoke, Worcester and maple. These dry items are all available from American spice and contain no salt. I tossed the almonds with a beaten egg white with a bit of maple syrup added. I then blended the above three spices with a bit of salt and tossed the nuts and roasted them. Really good and I was able to control the salt amount. These will be my hostess gift for the season.

    Tastes very similar to wood fired smoked foods. It has none of the additives like too much salt, or vinegar taste found in other products. As with wood fired smoke flavor it takes time to penetrate/infuse into the meat rather than just a surface taste. I've found that seasoning and refrigerating a few hours before (or even overnight) works best. The charcoal seasoning makes a great compliment.

    I am ordering this product again and again. You really get that smokey flavor, taste just like you smoked your foods on a grill or in a smoker. I'm so glad this product exist. Will order again and again as I run out. Lots of smoke flavor,it will amaze you!
