Candied Fruit
Enjoy the intense, sweet flavor of candied fruit. The making of candied fruit can be traced back to well before the 14th century in some regions of Europe. The practice was started to preserve the quality and freshness of various fruit crops that were harvested during abundant growing seasons. Originally, candied fruit was made with honey syrup and dried in the sun. Currently, candied fruit is produced using various sugar products which are less expensive and more accessible than its ancestor.
