I mixed it 1:1 with water first and then mayo. It just did not yeild at all the rich avocado flavor I needed... I hope food technology will someday make a truly rich dry granulated or powder avocado. So... I threw it all out :-(

I've tried MANY 'Spice Variations' to make this stuff work. Lemon, Lime, Onions, Garlic, Cilantro, and more. Tried one combination after another and NOTHING seems to help the taste of this product.
I even found Avocado Oil and 'hoped' that mixing the oil with the powder would work. No such luck.
I emailed AmericanSpice separately a couple of times requesting assistance months ago. Still no reply. Guess they know there's no hope either.
I purchased 5 lbs and might have to finally give up on finding a working 'edible' solution. Maybe I'll try some 'Cosmetics' use.
For the person giving the 'Favorable Review'...
Would you please let the rest of us know how you prepared/used yours to make it taste palatable? If you don't, I'll just have to 'assume' this came from a company representative.

This stuff tastes nothing like avocado. While the texture does resemble that of guacamole, the fact is, it tastes more like an old ground up sock might taste. I do not recommend this product. After the wonderful curry powder and bacon salt, this was a huge disappointment.
